About Tonya Renee

Tonya Renee is a trichology student, scalp health educator, and the founder and steward of Tonya Renee Trichology, an educational platform dedicated to helping women better understand scalp health, hair loss, and Central Centrifugal Cicatricial Alopecia (CCCA).

She has completed the academic portion of her trichology training through the World Trichology Society (WTS) and is currently completing the supervised clinical phase required for certification. As she continues her education, Tonya is committed to sharing evidence-informed information, practical guidance, and compassionate support for women navigating hair loss and scalp disorders.

Her journey into trichology is both personal and purposeful. After experiencing her own diagnosis of CCCA, Tonya became deeply committed to understanding the underlying causes of inflammatory scalp conditions and hair thinning. What began as a personal search for answers grew into a passion for educating, encouraging, and empowering other women facing similar challenges.

Through her studies, research, personal experience, and educational content, Tonya shares practical insights about scalp inflammation, scarring alopecia, hair shedding, nutrition, lifestyle factors, and the importance of maintaining a healthy scalp environment. Her goal is to help women better understand what may be contributing to their hair loss so they can make informed decisions and confidently partner with their healthcare providers.

Tonya believes that the scalp tells a story—and that healthier hair begins with a healthier scalp. Rather than simply focusing on managing symptoms, she encourages women to take a whole-person approach by understanding the factors that may influence scalp health, including inflammation, nutrition, stress, hormones, and consistent scalp care.

Her mission is to educate, encourage, and empower women by providing clear, easy-to-understand information rooted in current trichology education and scientific research. She is passionate about helping women become confident advocates for their own scalp health while continuing her professional journey toward certification.

Tonya believes this work is both a gift and a responsibility entrusted to her by God. She strives to faithfully steward Tonya Renee Trichology with integrity, compassion, humility, and a commitment to providing truthful, evidence-informed education. Her desire is to empower women with knowledge, encourage them throughout their hair restoration journey, and serve them with excellence, honesty, and genuine care.

Whether you’re newly experiencing hair loss or have been searching for answers for years, Tonya hopes you’ll find reliable information, practical tools, encouragement, and hope throughout your journey.
